I need some help and advice. My '82 280zx suffered a short when the hood came in contact with the battery. It messed the computer, and the wires that run from it to the fuel injection system. The injector assembly, the computer, the wires, the fuel pump, and the fuel pump relays were all replaced. The car still won't start. When I connect the battery, i can hear the fuel pump priming up. Then the car starts and it dies off. I turn off the key and then turn it back on. The fuel pump does not prime up and the car won't start anymore. Places around here charge @ $270.00 just to check it!!! Plus whatever they have to do to fix it.

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. i love my Z car and do not want to let it sit there any longer.

You should first check the Air Flow Meter to see if it's bad. Then check the Head Temp Sensor. Maybe one of them got a spike. just try these out before you buy an ecu it's alittle expensive.

Hope this helps you out.
