is there any way to tell if your valves are bent just from driving your car?? im in the process of replacing the thermostat and therefore am going to replace the timing belt which i have no idea if it was done at the 60,000 mile mark so thats why iam asking about the valves thanks

compression tester......... i dont believe theyre very expensive.... might even be able to rent from autozone. not sure but i know they have a good amount of tools you can rent.

As long as you havent thrown a belt or skipped any teeth you should be fine......

Hold a screwdriver or somthing similar up against the valve cover and put the other end on your ear. If you dont hear loud clacking noises than they probably arent bent.
