I have a 77 280Z, I was in the process of adjusting the valves when I realized that I did not have a large enough crow foot wrench to loosen the bottom larger lock nut. What is the metric size of that lock nut?

I had a 15mm and it was too small and my neighbor had a 17mm that was too big. Figured a 16mm would be right - wrong!! It was too small too. Go figure! Nothing ASME fit either so I took the 16mm and used a die grinder to open it up to about 16.3mm. Worked fine. Still doesn't make sense to me!

A 17 mm should work. I had trouble getting some of the nuts loosened on my Z, so I popped the rocker arm off, got a box end 17 mm and they moved easily. Rember to make sure the lash pad does not pop off, and put everything back on the way you took it off. Worked great for me.
