i have a 1977 280z coupe 4speed. i tried the oil cap trick and it made no change in the idle. so i said, "screw it" i'm just gonna replace ALL of the vacuum lines. the thing is, i don't think they are all in the correct placement to begin with, and some make no sense. so i need someone to email me a complete vacuum diagram, if possible. also, on the right side of the engine compartment, there are 2 of what looks like vacuum switches, round with a vacuum line attachment. the rear one is hooked up, but the front one is'nt. what do these control? help would be appreciated.

Bug,

The factory service manual doesn't have a single diagram of all the vacuum lines, at least not in the '76 manual I have. The vacuum lines aren't all shown in the same section, so if you have specifc areas you would like to know about, I can help you out. I also have a '77 factory manual now, but I would expect it to be organized the same but haven't checked. You'll see many people recomending a factory service manual and it truely is a good investment. Later, Zoomer

ok, so noone has a vacuum diagram. could you tell me if this is right: one vacuum line comes off the intake, to the dist. vacuum advance where it tees and runs to the charcoal canister? also, what are those 2 vacuum switches on the right hand side of the engine compartment for?
