Hey folks:

Well, I started fiddling with the carbs on our ‘74 260Z and am running into a problem. I have both the jet/mixture settings at the prescribed baseline for tuning (brought up flush with the bridge then turned down two full revolutions) but when I put the unisyn on to balance the airflow between the two (Hitachi SU with three screws on the dashpot), the front carb is sucking a ton of air even with the throttle screw turned all the way out so it isn’t even touching its adjustment point. The car will idle but way too fast. What could be causing this and how do I remedy it?
