Hello:

I understand that the injection used on the
280Z was essentially Bosch L-jet injection
made under license in Japan.

Can anyone comment on the modifications
made to the basic system to accomodate
the turbo? Fuel boost, timing changes,
fuelers, etc.

I have a '78 BMW with L-jet injection
and a 2.8 liter motor. There is a
280ZX Turbo in the junkyard. I can
weld. Can you see where I'm going with
this?

E-mail to [email protected] and ask this specific question. He runs a bone stock long block from a 280zx turbo and has made external mods to the turbo, intercooler, fuel regulator and other things and runs 12.5's in the quarter.

Re: L-Jetronic

There is a great book out about Bosch fuel injection systems. I can't recall the title or ISBN. However you should be able to find it at you local Barnes and Noble or at amazon.com.

BTW, wouldn't it be easier to turbo the Bimmer motor? You should contact Dinan to see if they could help you w/that. Oh...is this a 528e? If so, maybe you should do the L28ET swap...
