I put a 83 five speed into an 82 automatic. I had an 83 parts car available so i had the clutch pedal and hangers available as well as the hydraulics and lines.
This is an ideal situation because all the parts were there.
The dash has to come out to put in the clutch pedal hanger and associated equipment. Hydraulic line is routed down to the slave cylinder. The drive shaft probably is a different length, so that needs to be changed. Buy a factory manual, for all the specs and information before you get started, it will make a big difference.
