I have a chance to buy a turbo off an 88, was this a smaller size T3 to give faster boost responce . Also I read that they went to coolant passages in 85 . Can I mount this turbo on a 280zxt motor without any flange problems . I am hoping it can bolt straight on . I will later get my hybrid T4

I am not for sure, but I think the 300 zx turbo had the t4 unit.

I am going to junkyard with my manifold, I'll let you guys know what I find out . I'm crossing my fingers, hopefully Nissan engineers blessed us with the interchangability of other Z car parts .

it's a t3 and in 88 they were smaller than our t3's and they have coolant piped to them but that's not a big deal. I've got a used t4 if you're interested.
