I have seen a few posts about upgraded turbos. Any suggestions on a quality turbo? I need to replace my factory unit. I would like some room for growth (only to about 220HP), but the vehicle needs to be ok for everyday driving with stock components (ie. injectors, AFM, etc..). Thanks!!

220 hp are easy attainable with the stock turbo, just rebuild it then.
Coonsider an intercooler

I am not sure if it is dead. The turbo still boosts strong. It's just that after a minute or so of driving, the unit starts to buzz REAL loud when it spools up. Is that a bad turbo, or am I making a bad assumption??

turbo bearings

If your turbo is making a buzzing noise upon spoolup, then it is probably safe to say your turbo is going out. I would think it more of a squeeling sound, but this is the sound of the bearings within the turbo going out because of lack of lubrication or extensive wear. Make sure you always replace your turbo oil supply line when changing out the turbo.
