is it possible to do this with out putting dished pistons in the motor?? would the block and head be able to take the boost?? or would it be better and worth my while to get a whole turbo engine?? cuz my motor has only 7000 miles on it, and i would like to find a turbo engine with the same or just a little more.

it is a 76 280z.... running SU's right now, but do have the 76 FI. Scotty MIZ said that you can use the 76 EFI, with a turbo ecu and wire harness and afm.... how much boost can you run on a n/a engine without blowing it or detonation. I have heard 8# is safe without killing the like of your engine, but i would figure boost is like speed, always want more :)

i was running 13 intercooled pounds of boost on a n/a engine...i was running a 77 injection setup with zxt injectors, 77 computer and wiring harness, zxt afm with 77 afm internals, zxt turbo and turbo manifold and ford probe intercooler...and the car screamed!....no problems at all...well maybe 1 ...the stock clutch couldnt hold up!...but never had even the slightest bit of detonation!

I have the turbo kit u need too....

Search through parts/accessories. Im selling a 30Kmile stock zxt turbo, intake, exhaust mani., J pipe, intake pipes, oil return & inlet line. You will still need zxt injectors because I don't have them or the fuel rail, but zx and zxt fuel rails are the same. You will need either a zxt oil pan or will need to make provisions on your na pan for the oil return line. You should also get an air/fuel gauge with your conversion.

Re: I have the turbo kit u need too....

i have the fuel rail off of a 81zx... but i was planning on making my own because i have a adjustible FPR and i think that would be nice, i have a air fuel mixture gauge that i use for my SU's.... i plan on getting bigger cc injectors than a stock zxt, just to prevent lean conditions.
