I was wondering If i could put a turbo from another Z with failry little mods. I know there will have to be some but I am just wordering if anybody has done it.

Most likely your motor has N47 head, check between the 1'st and 2'nd spark plugs, a turbo z uses P90 head it is not advisable to use anything else, also the block of a turbo motor has extra webbing for strength just get a 81-83 280zx turbo motor and implant it.

When you say put a turbo, do you mean bolt up to your long block? As far as having to use the P-90 head, that is not true. I run 19 psi of boost and use an N-42 head. All of the engine stuff will bolt up with no problem. You will need to run your own exhaust off the turbo. You can also use your current computer to run below 10psi of boost. There are more things to consider, but a turbo motor will fit into your car with no problem.

Accually, p-90 is advisable but not nessesery it is logical that a turbo head designed by nissan handles boost better with everyday drivability
