Wondering what you guys think about something...

I have a 91 front clip with a 5-speed tranny. Everyone is aware of the transmission problems on the early Z32. The question is this, do you all feel it is worth $400 - $500 for me to buy a 95 tranny with 76k on it to avoid taking a chance on the JDM tranny.

I hate to spend this extra money since I never budgeted for it, however I would like to avoid any problems down the road after my TT conversion.

Please give me your thoughts on this, thanks!

If you're not averse to pulling a transmission down the road, why not spend the money later - the tranny in the clip may very well be solid enough for a while.

Agreed....

run with the tranny in the clip for now. Pull the drain plug on the tranny and if it has oil in it, examine the oil looking for any excessive metal shavings. Also examine the magnetic plug for the same.
