I changed my clutch last weekend. Now I am getting a rubbing sound from the transmission in 1st gear only.

I can only hear it in first gear, and it stops if I push in the clutch while going in first. There is also some noise when I let the clutch out in neutral. I beleive it is from the transmission since it only does it in first.

I replaced the clutch release fork, disk, pressure plate, and throw-out bearing. I also checked the fluid level and it is full. I was thinking that maybe we bent the input shaft. Any ideas on what it could be. The noise is not too bad, so I will just drive it this way until something happens. Then get another transmision if something does go. I really don't want to pull the transmision again, not this time of year.

Thanks, Leslie.
