I have a '72 and at some point I'll want to swap in a later transmission/diff. In the meantime, I'd like to change the clutch hydraulics. When I eventually do swap the trans, will all of these parts transfer over, or will everything but the master cylinder come from the donor car?

I'm trying to decide whether I should just wait a bit and do everything at once, or if I can do it a few pieces at a time. Any info is appreciated!

You can do it all now no problem. Get a slave cylinder with an adjustable push rod if you can. This will help to set it just right. Some of the earlier cars were adjustable, later ones were fixed.

The adjustable slave cylinder rod is off of 1970 and early 71 240z's that had the 3 piece trans(sepaerate bellhousing). You may also want to get the clutch fork off of the same model, which has the hole for the adjustable rod. Joe
