I just recently installed a new motor in my 83zxt. My tranny seems to be running alittle rough, in 4th gear cruising speed it starts to shake so if you shift it goes away. I noticed the holding bracket for my turbo oil supply line at the back of the motor. Well it was wedged between the block and bell housing. Would this cause it to shake in 4th gear, and seem to be running rough? I am going to get it out of there when it warms up, just wondering if that could be the problem?

If the trans is not flush on the motor.

You will get all sorts of vibrations and even shifting problems. If the input shaft isn't running true it will also cause the mainshaft to not run true. Make sure BOTH dowel guides are still there as well. Hving one or both missing can cause the same problems.

yeah today i got the tranny sitting flush, all the problems went away.
