Manual trans usual you fill just till it runs out of the fill hole. Book says for 4 speed its 3 5/8's pts and 5 speed its 4 1/4 pts........
Tranny fluid amount?
Have replaced the tranny in my 72 with a 82 transmission from a 280zx. Have no manual for the 82 so what is the fluid amount of oil? Have put in 1 and half qt. of MT90 but seems to have a slight grinding sound when rolling to a stop without pressing in on the clutch pedal. The grind seems to go away with the clutch in. Just trying the easiest solution first without having to pull the new tranny. The car accelerates fine thru all gears and reverse. Thanks for any information or insight.
