What are some good street pads that will work for a track day. I looked at ultimates but they say explicitly not to use them on a track.

"Ultimate is NOT recommended for use on road courses in front calipers. Doing so can cause pad deposition on rotors as well as the resulting vibration. Street only. OK for club level track use in rear calipers."

Any ideas?

Hawk HP or Hawk HP+.

I've been road racing tha past 3 years. Started using my 91 300zx, sold that when I got my 350z roadster.

My primary track car is a 93 supercharged Miata my back up is my 350z.

I've used Hawk pads on all of my track/street cars. Great braking, no fade and decent longevity.

Minor squealing on streets, the brake squeal is so minor my wife does not even complain about the noise.

Definitely go with Hawk pads.

You should consider getting stainless steel brake lines. Will give you even braking not allowing lines to expand or contract when heating up and under pressure.
