I have an '84, 5-speed N/A that runs really well above 2500 RPM. It doesn't have any problems idling. The mass airflow sensor is new, so that's not a likely problem.

Now, I'm wondering what could be causing my engine to act as if it's bogged down or suffocating between idle and 2500 RPM. In any gear, the car bucks and stutters a little until after that mark, then it's fine. The only time the car seems to not have much trouble below 2500 is when the gas pedal is on the floor, or close to it.

Would this be a TPS issue? TB? Any other ideas any of you might have?

You know, my car has a similar symptom, but I never thought much of it. It could quite possibly be an ignition problem. Have you gotten it tuned up lately? Have them check out your entire intake/fuel delivery system, if you don't want to do all that yourself. I'm going to take mine in for some brake issues and I'll see if I can come up with any answers for you.

Good luck,
