well every so often my car slips timming or so i think because it gets this really gay miss and runs a touch rough then i just advance the timming some and it runs perfect - well i have maxed out the distributor now and its at about 15 advance so if whatever happens happens again i %$^]ed

just wondering if this could be anything besides the timming belt?

do your timing belt, if you are unsure it is in proper working order do it anyways. I did mine about a month ago and it showed 0 wear or tare on it and didn't need be replaced, but it was a load of my mind

Alright well first off,

Timing Belt refers to valve timing
Distributer is ignition timing


If your distributor is moving have you properly torqued the bolt holding it in position?
Is it loose when you go to adjust it again?
