I am going to be getting my 81 L28ET motor ready for the summer . I am going to run 14-17psi boost with a starion intercooler, MSD igntion, adj FPR, and larger fuel pump . I know that igntion must be retarted at higher boost levels otherwise preigntion will begin . The timing is set by adjusting the crankangle sensor . Not enough retard gives detonation, too much and lose power and EGT jumps as well . Anybody got any cheap was of changing timing as boost goes up and leaving initial settings alone . I know MSD has such a unit ???
