basically if you can look under the hood of your car and know the name and function of over 90% of what you see you can tackle a timing chain. Get a good manual and a buddy who knows about cars, even if it's only Chevys. If the idea worries you and you are trying to just save money, then don't. Too many things can go wrong. Z cars are easy to work on, you should be able to find someone to do it for you. I'm available, where are you? Post your location, I'm sure somebody here is close enough to help. Same deal on finding the fender-where are you? Also what is the car, a Z or ZX?
