well I can hear a slight knock... not a tick like the injectors.. it's a knock that coinsides with the RPM and is not a steady knock it's random... what is this? lifters sticking? pistons hitting something?(doubt it car runs beautifly except for running a bit rich) thanks guys

lifters I think. basicallly, you got too much clearance between lash pads and rockerarms

I have the same problem with my 83 ZXT. I was told that it needs new hydraulic rocker arms.... You are looking at about 30-80 dollars each with 12 total to do the job right....

If this fixes your problem let me know because I am in the process of ordering parts for a complete re-build on mine...
