To anyone who has installed the 87-89 Toyota Tercel mirror like in this pic how did you mount this thing to the Z window frame? After looking at one of these mirrors at a salvage yard I'd think you'd have to fabricate some sort of new bracket cause it doesn't look like you can use the Tercel bracket. How did you guys do it? Any pics and detailed instructions?

unless you are doing it yourself your bodyguy should know what to do......yes you do have to fabricate some sort of bracket,i am yet to install mine but my bodyman has told me the process should be a walk in the park.once it is done i'll find out and keep you posted.

Thanks. Keep me posted. I was actually thinking of doing it myself. Did you get your mirrors at a junkyard and how much did you have to pay for them? I found this link where you can buy brand new Tercel replacement mirrors for only $41 a piece which isn't that bad. I prefer new parts and hate going to junkyards. This mirror supposedly fits an 83 to 88 Tercel and looks like the one I need.

sure thing!paid 34$ 4 'em but thats canadian $ even though i pulled thenm myself,see cars here are like gold,especially classics like datsun.
