That is the water temp sensor for the temp gauge in the dash.

NOTE, that it does not come with a new nut and furel. Do not loose your current ones or damage the old ones when you remove them.

offers the same part (sensor) for LESS (can you actually believe it? They also have the retaining nut stocked. Do yourself a favor and get a new one. Good luck getting the old one out as well.
