I'm trying to rig up the stereo in my '83 280zx 2-seater (GL model I think) with a jack to input an external audio signal, so I can hook up a portable CD player. It seems like a good way to do this would be between the tape player and receiver/amplifier, since there's already a signal and a control line to switch over to it going through there. The only problem is, I don't know what the pinout of the DIN-5 connector used here is. I'd really appreciate any info on the pinout, signal level used, and DC bias of the signal if any. (I don't know if Hitachi spent the extra money on a bipolar supply converter or Norton-style op amps, or just had the signal stay between ground and 13.8V.)
