The tacho in my 'Z' works fine in cool to moderate weather, but when the car has been sitting in the sun for some time or it a hot day the tacho rises like the temp gauge and remains around the 2000 rpm mark!

Is this an insulation problem or something, I would to fix it if I can.

Thanks in anticipation Colin.

Take the tach out and put thin fiber washers between the circuit board and the mounting post. My tach stuck at 2000 rpm and this fixed it.. Hope it works..
