Don't do it
My 2¢ is that it would be much cheaper to buy a T-top body with a blown motor and convert all your mechanicals to it than to retrofit T-tops in a hardtop body. If you tear off the headliner of a T-top car in the junkyard, you'll note that quite a bit of extra bracing went into the construction of these roofs. Alternately, if you or a friend had the skills, you could cut a T-top roof off a wrecked ZX and graft it on your car, but again, the gain is hardly worth the expense and headache. Having lived with T-tops on my '82 for the 5-6 years I owned it — and I know I'm in the minority here — I ended up HATING the stupid things. They leak in winter, bake your brain in summer, and when theyr'e off at speeds over 40 the wind harmonics implode your eardrums and make conversation impossible. There's nowhere to store them safely or conveniently when they're off, and they seem to crack at the slightest provocation. As 'Killing Me' pointed out, new rubber gaskets run an obscene $350 PER SIDE (I've bought two whole Z cars for less than that) and if you aren't extremely careful, you'll tear those putting them on. If you gotta have air through the roof, why not just stick an aftermarket sunroof on the car. It'll do the same thing at a lot less cost and work to install.
