I keep seeing guys put t-5's in their z's. I want a stick so I figured I'd get a t-5, or preferably a t-56. I need to know what is involved in the whole process. Drivetrain swap? Rear-end? Does the thing match up to the stock flywheel? Mounting? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I know if you swap into older z's you will need the shift rod to be moved futher back (kinda like the mustang shifter rods). and would have to cut the drive shaft or have one made..its too long, i think its like 2-3inches too long. If you decide to go t56 you will need a adapter bell housing to bolt up to the L series engine.
Or if you go v8 there is a whole diffrent set of rules. they have an install of the t56 with a v8 at www.zdriver.com, under articles.
