Swaping intake manifold

yes and no....the manifold bolts right on but there are differences in the EFI systems.

Do you know what kind of modifications it would require? and how difficult would it be?

its more complicated using the incorrect manifold, and its a straight swap using the correct manifold. There is one for sale in the classifieds. How in the heck do you lose or destroy an intake manifold anyway? Are you building a 79 piece by piece or what?

The only difference I can think of,one may be an egr intake,one may not be. Does the exhaust man have an egr tube? The intake manifold themselves will bolt up with no problems.

Square port or round port is really all that matters, and depends on what your doing.

1-i-z,round or square ports has nothing to do with the intake manifold. The efi intake only has round ports.
