When I accelerate over a bumpy road, the car shudders slightly. I also notice that if I drive over a bump on the right side (like a manhole cover), it slightly throws the car to the left.

It's a '90 with original shocks, is that the problem, or is it something with the suspension?

Thanx,

i would think that it is a blown shock. i had a blown shock and when i would accelerate moderately or go over a bump the car would shudder. i also remember driving on a road that turned left and it had a dip in it. when i went over the dip the car felt like it wanted to go out of control. 99 percent sure it is a blown shock/ blown shocks.

May be both....

Best bet is to take the car to a reputable alignment shop. Have the lower ball joints checked along with the shocks. In additon check the tension rod and rear subframe for leakage.

Thanx much guys! I'll be looking at it this week, kind-O-scarry driving it. This is the year of shocks, both trucks and the Z! Not jumping the gun MaxDoc, 'll have all looked at.
