Does anyone know the piston pin height of the 1st gen and 2nd gen 300ZX? Can you use them to build a 3.0? The stock bore of these is 87mm and you could build a 2960cc if possible. With a 1mm overbore you could build a 3047cc.

1984-94
3.0L 2960cc SOHC V6, 87mm bore
PISTON- 32mm pin height, flat top w/ 2 valve relief

Same spec on turbo piston for eng. code VG30 / VG30E as VG30T except piston is dished by 10.5cc.

I DON'T HAVE ANY SPECS ON THE VG30DE, VG30DETT OR THE INFINITY CODE N 4.5L 4494cc DOHC V8, HOWEVER, THOSE PISTONS ARE 93mm BORE, WHICH IS ABOUT 2mm TOO MUCH UNLESS YOU GO CRAZY WITH THE SLEEVES.

YES BUT THE PISTON TRAVEL WILL FALL SHORT OF TDC BY 1.5mm. NOT RECOMMENDED.

There are better choices for a stroker motor. Go to the IZCC home page,(link below), and look under the how to modify your Z for more hp. Steve Golik wrote an excellent FAQ on the 3.0 and 3.1. He has listed specific part numbers, what works, etc... It is an excellent resource. Under that section, it also has the detailed buildup by the Georgia Z car club, and my writeup on my dyno time, and a mirror of my web page.
-post or e-mail if this is unclear or you have more q's.
