hi i told my story on this board a while gack (car got hit and runned then someone stole my carbe) anyway i was thinking for the time being could i just bolt the origonal su's back onto it (it had triple weber 40's)

would they work with my setup stock l24 bored out +.03, schneider racing cams 240-70 grind, e31 port matched to the cannon intake

anyway any thoughts?

Well I'm using them on my engine....

3.1L
480 lift 274 duration cam
shaved P90 - 10.5 compression
MSD and electronic ignition


I actually have a set of DCOEs but have virtually decided against using them....the SUs are just so simple to work with.

Since your engine is just an L24, I wouldn't do anything to the carbs. Just bolt them on and enjoy. If you do not know how to tune them get the Ztherapy video as it explains EVERYTHING.....tuning is very simple..takes 15 minutes.
