Stereo

Yeah it would be nice. After a while the radio will lose the display. The belt in the tape will dissolve and you won't be able to pull in a station unless you are next to it. http://www.bcelectron.com/repair_types/car_stereo_repair.html can allegedly fix it for $600 someodd. Let's add to the mix that the speakers just plain suck. I too would have liked to keep the OEM look but succumbed to Alpine CD with USB, Ipod ports capable of playing mp3 and bluetooth for the phone. It requires removing the dash to get to the center speaker but as has been discussed before, there is a plethera of items to be resolved when the dash is out.

Look in my signature. It will direct you to member rides. Pictures are in there. I placed my radio to the right side to use the opening already there from the tape deck. Painted the fascia stainless steel. One intent was to put the Garmin there. Not a good idea. Another idea was to create a slot for satellite radio, but not at $20/mo. So I put 3 rocker switches instead. One for the rad aux fan, brake lts, and TBA.
