Will the horn center from a 76 Z work on a 71z steering wheel? Will the 71 wheel fit OK on the 76 steering column shaft? Anybody done this swap?

The steering wheels from all of the 70-77 cars will fit all columns. However, you must keep the horn center of the 240Z with the 240Z steering wheel and vice versa with the 280Z wheels and centers. This is a common swap. The 280Z original equipment steering wheels did not do well over the years. The 240Z steering wheels can be easily refinished to like-new condition.
