Hey All,

My baby been's sleeping for about 9 mos. I disconnected the battery, but that was about it. She's an '80 280ZX. I'm about to get her painted, and I was wondering if there's anything I should do before starting her up. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I started an '83 ZX last summer which had been sitting for over a year. I just made sure it had oil, water, and power steering fluid, hooked up the jumper cables, and it was running on the first try.

Make sure you put fresh gas in and change the oil after you get it going. Unless there's something wrong with it already, you shouldn' t have any problems.

Also would'nt hurt to remove the coil wire and spark plugs, then crank it over a few times to get the oil flowing.
