Hey Ya'll,

I have a new spiral core battery in my 240, but since I have been out of town for the last few months I was not able to start my car and the battery is dead.

Is there anything I should know about jump starting my car with this new spiral core battery.

Thanks for the heads up.

Regards - Michael

Yea, DON'T JUMP START IT!!!!!!!

Jump starting a FI car is asking for trouble. Your alt will sense a dead battery and send out a huge voltage spike. Not good for wiring, ecu, relays, fuses, ect. The safest thing to do is to invest in a battery charger, or take your battery to one of the chain parts stores and have them charge it for you. The moral of the story is... never let the alternator charge a dead battery!
