I have a '72 with auto trans which originally had a 3.54:1 rear which I have changed to a 3.9 from a Nissan 4x4 (also a r-180). Can someone help with speedometer recalibration? What pinion to replace with? My Nissan Motorsports Catalog only lists replacement pinions for trans. F4W71A, FS5C71A/B, AND F5C71B

Tell me about your rear-end....

Can you give me some info on your rear end? I am trying to gather info on LSD's and you seem to be running one that I have hear controversy about it working. You seem to have it working. Sooo if you will share what you know, I.E. what year, what half shafts, drive shaft, etc. And if you will sent pic's that would be great. Like my other post lists I am trying to put a page together with this info.

Thank You,

John Cooney

The gear you need to calibrate your speedo
would be the white one.But it wont just slip right in you need to drive out the tiny pin
that holds the gear on its carrier.Do the same with yours you must keep the same pinion carrier
with the trans. But the multi colored and sized
gear can be interchanged. Glad i could help.
