At about 60-75mph my steering wheel shimmies so bad it feels like its going to come out of my hand. I have new Dunlop H rated tires on some American racing wheels. I have had them spin balance 3 times by two diffent shops but no help. I also had an alignment done. My front end is all new with all polyurethane bushings KYB struts and Nissan euro springs. I know this is a very tight and sensitive set up but its driving me nuts.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've had pretty much the same experience on my 76, new tires - rebuilt front end,
and shimmy above 60 +.
I swapped the wheels /tires on my 76 to my 75 and problem went away.
now I can easily go over 100 mph w/o any steering wheel vibration whatsoever.
I then test drove the 75 and it appeared not to shake either. ( go figure ?)
Ironically a friend of mine just purchased new rims/tires 2 months ago and now
has noticeable shimmy at 70 + to whereas it didn't exist before on old equipment.
I,m confused....slightly bent rims or defective tires being sold at discount prices ??.
From what I learned from my experience try this :
Jack up front end and remove wheel/tire then put back on and be carefull to
center it . Tighten up the lug nuts evenly in a criss-cross pattern. check air pressure.
It's my only explanation to as why the 75-76 swap worked. repeat on rear end.
