Ive come to the conclusion than im going to keep this site stocked with questions.

Has anyone ever had thier ac compressor sing to them? Mine does. Its not a very pretty tune though. It started out as a bubbly, gurgly kinda sound. Then, today, it started humming and vibrating slightly. I took the belt off and it quit(of course). Does this mean that im low on freon, or is my compressor shot. It still blows cold air and engages and everything, its just very noisy. Maybe the bearings are going bad in it? Do these cars have a problem with the ac going out? I guess not since this is the original compressor (I think). I havent had it very long, about 6 months, so im not sure how the ac was maintained. Oh, one more thing, will it hurt it more to have the belt off the compressor?

Thanks for any input
