There have been so many of questions like this that it seems the time has come for somebody to step up to the plate and provide some good, solid guidelines in this dept.
For example, did you know you can ship a used "core" engine cheaper than a regular one? Also, since engine shipping is not typically a FedX or UPS endeavor, there are plenty of freight companies that can pallet and ship them. Also, it's cheaper to go terminal to terminal instead of door to door.
There's gotta be some pros here who can supply good resources to find out within a few bucks how much it costs to ship a typical engine.
