Hey Guys & Gals,

I have a parts car with a secondary oil filter on it. It is larger than usual, Mounts on the Drivers Side inner fender with two hoses running to it.
The top reads," AMSOIL".
It is stainless steel.
also, if anyone knows about these items, can you still get filters?

Try doind an internet search for Amsoil.They still may be in business, used to be a multi-level marketing outfit.Think they went retail though....Bert

Amsoil is still in business. Usually you will find their parts and oil sold by individuals. You might find them in the phonebook.

They are known for marketing high quality synthetic oil, filters and other lubricants.

I would guess that the secondary oil filter assembly is pretty good quality. You should consider using it if you are customizing your car. It will definitely lower the oil temperature and provide a vessel for additional oil.

I would think that the filter could be matched up to popular retail brands such as Fram, autolite, champion, etc. Take the filter to an autoparts store and see if they have a cross reference for it.
