Hey Guys,

I want to upgrade my seats in the Z. I don't have the big bucks necessary to buy aftermarket seats. Has anyone installed seats out of a late model car? Is there a certain car I need to stick with for ease of modification? I'm looking for tan/camel leather or cloth seats. I have a pair of seats out of a 86 300ZX, but they're black and grey. I don't know if recovering these in tan , or looking for a late model wreck to pull seats from, would be cheaper. Any opinions, or facts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am using Integra GSR seats in mine. They are not in tan colors, but I just thought I would give you another option for seats. The only modifying you will have to do is to your existing seat rails, but it's not too hard. It only requires a little drilling.

I swapped seats in my 81 280zxt with near-new ones from an 82 280zxt. Curious thing that happened was that the seat belt receiver on the 82 seats were different than the 81. Had to swap those. Might be one thing to remember to grab off your current seats before you get new ones.
