Seafoam or MM oil down intakes , directly to the valves.

Hi everyone,

Before putting the plenum back on ( tomorrow morning! yay! watch for pics! I was looking down the open holes on the bottom plenum and could clearly see my valves down the hole. I can see some small carbon crud around them. Before putting the plenum back on, I am wondering if its ok to soak them with one or two teaspoon or MM oil or seafoam and let them soak well. Is that ok? I am afraid of hydrolocking the engine.

Please let me know

thanks!

Oil based products are compressable ( think 2 stroke ) Water however, isn't.
Now if you put a quart down each hole... that's different.... but a small amount is fine!

not only noobs... even old farts XD LOL!

and about the soaking... I'd recommend just soaking, scuffing with a toothbrush or similar and then recolect crud with a rag as much as your finger can go in. I might be paranoic, but I wouldn't like that residue going into my combustion chambers XD
The BG-44 will soften that stuff so It's doesn't present a " threat " ... but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
