wuz up everybody?

been a while since my last post, I finally got the 8 point cage from s&w.
I actually got a good price 109 dollars after rebate, anyway. I think it really
suck because the main hoop is only about 37-38 inches wide, which means
I can use the side bars cause they would literally have to go through the side
of the seats. The guy told me over the phone that the cage was going to
fit without any trimming or cutting because it was desingned specifically for
the 73 240z ( bunch of crap). Now its gonna be a bunch of metal rotting
outiside my house. I will not return it cause the shipping cost would be about
what it cost ~70 bucks. Anybody have the same problem? what did you guys
do?

$39 bucks is not worth the trouble, rather use the metal for something else,
maybe make lets for a BBQ. I was just wondering is other people had simmilar
problem.

Would it work with a aftermarket racing seat? Are you sure they sent the correct one? Do they offer rollbars for other cars?

I've put one of their kits in my car, 73 240Z. While S&W says they are made for the car, some cutting etc is necessary. My hoop fit no problem and the legs are mounted in the seat belt retractor pockets. The halo, though, had to be cut in the middle and shortened, otherwise it would be right next to my eye.

I couldn't use the door bars either, but if you take them to a muffler shop or something maybe they can bend it for you. I didn't put them in because they would be too much trouble to climb over and I didn't want swing outs. I have Corbeau seats, BTW.

I guess you can always sell it to someone close by...
