Ok i just bought a 280ZX and whats it have Stupid RUST!!! and the paint on the rest of tha CAR is great cept for there is a little rust next to where the t-tops are and there is one the size of a golf ball next to the hatch and its under the paint Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? What to make it look the best and the cheapest way? Cause i don't want to mess it up

I'll be strait with you: rust is a cancer and it will GROW if not dealt with. Plus, if you have rust on top, you're almost guaranteed to have rust underneath -- maybe lots of it. If you don't want to mess up the paint job by dealing with the visible rust spots on top, then have a professional fix them, but it still won't be cheap or look great.

RUST REALLY SUCKS!!! : (

If you have rust in these parts you probably also have rust in other areas as well.
Try to remove the door rubber seal at the back of the door opening and se what you find there!!

Right at the bottom of the door there is a light switch - try to remove the rubber and the switch it self and see if there is any rust there.

The well for the spare tyre is a place where rust is bound to develop due to a moist and dirty environment.

If you find more rust you probably have to check the whole car and do a complete paint job - sorry
