I own a '77 280Z-5 speed that is all original except for the rear end. In 1982 I had to have the rear end replaced. I am not sure what the gear ratio is for my current rear end but I do not believe that it is the stock 3.54:1 ratio. I am trying to find some data points for speed (mph) versus rpm for the various rear end ratios with stock 195/70-14 tires. I would appreciate any information on this. I plan to use a GPS to confirm the speed vs the speedometer reading.

you most likely had it swapped for a later 3.90 rear end. they are waaay more common in junk yards etc nowadays. that transmission calculator from above is pretty good, very useful when I swapped my 78's 3.54 for a 3.90.

My Z is a '78, at 3000 RPM i am going exactly 65mph. All the gears are stock.
