UGGH! I just bought an '83 280 with 100k on it, it ran great....but now well...it doesnt. Its the turbo model....she starts right up, and will run great for about a mile and a hlaf or so, then it'll just die! Hooked it up to a system scanner and all checked out ok...and the cars self diagnostics do as well. I'm pretty sure that its just flooding, but any ideas of what to check for? I'm pretty much a novice as far as this particular car is concerned, so it would not surprise me if the answer was a simple one...any suggestions?

I would like to here more about the diagnostics also, and in addition did you check the usual?
Is there spark available immediately after it dies?
Does the exhaust reek of gas when it dies or smell rich while it runs?
Could it actually be starving for fuel from a bad fuel pump or filter instead?
