hello while adjusting my lash i noticed that i can easily remove the rocker arm springs by hand just pop them off with my thumbs..now on Scott Bruning's tape 240z tune up tape he uses a screwdiver to remove the rocker springs...my question is ...does this indicate worn rocker arm springs and should i invest in new ones??? or ???? thankyou michele

They don't have a lot of tension to begin with. Their purpose is to hold the rocker on the ball pivot so they don't hop making a noise. I worked on a 240 for a guy once and none of the springs were even there.I was surprised but it didn't seem to make any difference .
