ive been wondering for awhile if the z31 has a rev limiter but after my friend blew his engine trying to burn out thinking he has one i have never took my rpms past 5300 so if any one knows if there is one and when it starts to bounce back let me know

also how do any of u guys have air cond. since z's run off the old r12?
do u just convert your ac to the new stuff or ride around in the heat of Louisiana like me?
please help me out if theres some sort of secret.

You have to convert it to r134 then recharge....

REV LIMITER you guys!!!

Lemme think, Red line is 6250, and fuel cut off is either 6500 or 6750.

redline is 6000 for all years (come on people, look at your instruments once in a while) and rev limiter is 6500.

And the AC system is a closed system. Provided there are no leaks, you should never have to charge it. So I still have the original R12 in mine.

hmmm my '88 SS turbo has redline at 5500 rpm (gauge goes all the way up through 8000 rpm though...).

No it doesn't. The warning marks start at 5500, but the actual redline is 6000.

note the difference between 5500-6000 and 6000-8000
