it all depends on how worn your block is....these blocks are very tough...how many miles were on the engine after the .50 rebuild? you can get 1.00mm over bores...check taper w/ telescoping gauges, and see. good luck

replacing pistons
i have a 75 280 w dished pitons that are .050 over. i would like to use flat top zx pistons. A) can i use .050 flat top pitons & new rings or B) do i need to rebore again & use the next larger size( i'm not sure there are larger size pistons are available after.050) i'm trying to boost compression for better low end performance.
